Justin and I are proud to announce the arrival of our son, Nathaniel Dean Smith. He was born on Monday, December 24th 2007 at 9:19 a.m. after 30 hours of labor (15 at home, 15 in the hospital). Nathaniel weighed in at 9 pounds 14.7 ounces and measured 23 inches long. He has a lot of dark brown hair and beautiful blue eyes for the time being (we all know that can change). We are all home and doing well now. Just focusing on recovery and bonding with our son.
The last week has been a blur for me. After our appointment last Friday things started to kick into gear and I was contracting off and on Friday and Saturday. Labor started at 3:30 am on Sunday (our due date) and we were admitted to the hospital around 6 pm. Things had progressed alot by that time, but then seemed to stall overnight. I was given a medicine to help get things back in gear, but it still took a little while. But it was all worth it as we have a beautiful healthy baby boy.
Justin is going to try to figure out how to post pictures on here soon so we can share with everyone.

Grandpa & Grandma Smith are head over heels in love with Nathan. We are very excited for Justin, Amber & Nathan. Nathan has a great mommy and daddy and we could not be prouder of them. Welcome Baby Nathan to the family...
